Lucira Check It COVID-19 All-In-One Test

The Lucira COVID-19 & Flu Test is a single use real-time RT-LAMP test kit intended for self testing at home for the simultaneous rapid qualitative detection and differentiation of RNA from SARS-CoV-2, Influenza A and Influenza B virus from self-collected nasal swab samples in individuals 14 years and older (self- collected) or individuals ≥ 2 years (collected by an adult) with symptoms of respiratory viral infection consistent with COVID-19, Influenza A and/or Influenza B.

This test is also intended for use at the Point of Care (POC) for individuals with symptoms of respiratory viral infection consistent with COVID-19, Influenza A and/or Influenza B with specimens collected by trained personnel. The Lucira COVID-19 & Flu Test is intended for use as an aid in the differential diagnosis of SARS- CoV-2, Influenza A and Influenza B, in humans, and is not intended to detect Influenza C.

The Lucira COVID-19 & Flu Test is for use only under an Interim Order from Health Canada.

The Lucira COVID-19 & Flu Test contains everything needed to perform one (1) test: Instructions, 2 AA Batteries, 1 test unit, 1 sample vial, 1 sterile nasal swab and 1 disposal bag. For this test to work properly, you must follow each step.

The Lucira Check It COVID-19 Test is a single-use test intended to detect the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19. This test is authorized for over-the-counter (OTC) use with self-collected nasal swab samples in individuals 14 years and older (self collected) or individuals ≥ 2 years (collected by an adult) with or without symptoms or other epidemiological reasons to suspect COVID-19. This test is similar to a PCR test in that it utilizes a molecular amplification technology for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA.

Positive results are indicative of the presence of SARS-CoV-2. Individuals who test positive should self-isolate and seek additional care from their healthcare provider. Positive results do not rule out bacterial infection or co-infection with other viruses. Negative results do not preclude SARS-CoV-2 infection. Individuals who test negative and continue to experience COVID-like symptoms should seek follow up care from their healthcare provider.
